Tatiana felt weak. Legs shaking, lungs exhausted—she really wasn't sure just how much farther she could go. Ever since birth she had been told of the Mystical Winds, and although she couldn't firmly call herself a believer, she didn't not believe in them... if that made any sense. The legends were told that if a equine were in dire need of answers in their life, some regions of Finibus were haunted by these so-called "Mystical Winds" and the troubled horses could visit these areas for answers. Not all equine would receive answers, and some might even perish on their journeys. The Mystical Winds would only visit those of true, passionate spirit—whether good, or evil—and bestow them with either a proverb or a prophecy. It might take a while before the horse truly understands what the wise words mean, or even how they have significance in their life. Tatiana shuddered. She couldn't imagine traveling such a long way to be given an answer. Trekking on, her chest began to heave, her sides aching. "The oxygen is so low here," she gasped, bobbing her cranium, dizziness flooding her senses. Please, Winds, please be out there. Please let this trip had been worth it. The pale mare felt clammy, gooseflesh traveling up her flanks and embarking along her back. The summit was mere meters away, and all her life's problems seemed to be bubbling to the surface. Her shyness, her weak emotions, her lack of physical strength, how everyone always thought less of her. She was just so damn timid, she could never make any means for herself. Tears, frozen with the kiss of the wind, beaded up at the corners of her eyes, a sad whinny echoing from her larynx. "Why?!" She shouted into the bitter wind, her throat barren and aching, "why do these feelings gather inside of me? I'm just so fucking timid, I can't express them! Why can't I be strong like everyone else? Why can't I be loved like everyone else?!"
